HON. JUSTICE
SANDA AUDU YELWA
Hon. Justice Sanda Audu Yelwa was born on 11th June, 1965. He hails from Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State. His Lordship attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, where he obtained his LLB in 1988. His Lordship attended Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990. In 2015, His Lordship obtained Masters in Business and Commercial Law (MBCL) from Ado Bayero University, Kano State. His Lordship also obtained his Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Ado Bayero University, Kano State in 2022.
His Lordship was Junior Counsel with A. A. Waziri & Co.; was Deputy Head of Chambers with M. D. Bar de & Co; was Honourable Member, Federal House of Representatives at the National Assembly, Abuja during the 3rd Republic; was in Private Practice with Messrs Alma Chambers in Potiskum, Yobe State; was Member, Borad of Directors, Yobe Investment Company between 1995-1997; was Chief Legislative Aid to Senator G. Z. Bura, between 200-2006; was appropriated a full time Honourable of the Investment & Securities Tribuna for 4 years. His Lordship was appointed as Judge of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria in 2023.
Hon. Justice Sanda Audu Yelwa has attended sundry conferences, Seminar and other capacity building trainings within and outside Nigeria.
His Lordship is well known for his resourcefulness, forthrightness, honesty, brilliance, work ethic, and integrity. His Lordship is physically and mentally strong, possesses immense intellectual endowments, skills and excellent moral standing.
