BUHARI SANI
Hon. Justice Muhammad Adamu Hamza was born on the 2nd March, 1969. He hails from Sabon Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna State. His Lordship attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State where he obtained his LLB in 1998. His Lordship attended Nigerian Law School, Abuja Campus and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2001. Hon. Justice Muhammad Adamu Hamza obtained Masters in Law Enforcement from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 2008; Masters in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 2010 and Masters in Peace and Conflict Management from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 2018
Upon His Lordship’s call to the Nigerian Bar, he started his career as a private legal practitioners with Al-Qasim Ja’afar & Co., and was later appointed as Magistrate of the Kaduna State Judiciary in 2003. His Lordship rose through the rank to the position of Chief Magistrate Grade 1 before His Lordship’s appointment as Judge of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria in 2023.
Other notable positions of responsibility once held by His Lordship are; Judge, settlement week in Kaduna State; Member, Committee on BONDSMAN implementation in Kaduna State; Member Committee for the Establishment of Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption (ROLAC) programmes to support reforms in the Administration of Criminal Justice in Kaduna State sponsored by the British Council, to mention but a few.
In addition, His Lordship is member of notable associations like Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Magistrates Association of Nigeria (MAN), Commonwealth Judges and Magistrates Association, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), amongst many others.
His Lordship is proficient with the use of computer, especially Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and internet for research.
Hon. Justice Muhammad Adamu Hamza has attended sundry conferences, Seminar and other capacity building trainings within and outside Nigeria and has a publication titled “Pre-Trial Detention and Bail: Practice and Procedure in the lower Courts” presented at the induction course for newly appointed Magistrates and other Judges of the lower Courts, at the National Judicial Institute, to his credit.
His Lordship is well known for his brilliance, work ethic, resourcefulness, forthrightness, candor, honesty and integrity. His Lordship is physically and mentally strong, possesses immense intellectual endowments, skills and excellent moral standing.
Hon. Justice Muhammad Adamu Hamza is married to Hajiya Asma’u Dalhat. The marriage is blessed with six (6) children.
