Hon. Justice Barshar Attahiru was born on 24th January, 1974 in Shinkaffi Town of the former Sokoto State in Nigeria. He obtained diploma in Law in State College of Arts, Sokoto State in the year 1995 and proceded to Usman Dan Fodio University where he obtained LL.B ( Common Islamic Law) combined Honours in 2010. He attended Nigeria Law School Lagos Campus and was called to the Bar in the year 2002.
Justice Barshar Attahiru was employed as a Research Assistance, Sokoto State Law reform commission and became Research Officer, Law reform commission .
He worked as Magistrate Grade 1, FCT Judiciary; and also as Senior Magistrate Grade 11, FCT Judiciary between 2009 to 2011, Senior Magistrate Grade 1, FCT Judiciary from 2012 to 2015 and Chief Magistrate Grade 111 before elevation to a judge.
His Lordship obtained professional certificate in several workshops for Magistrates and conferences of all judges of Lower Courts attended and attended ADR Course as a magistrate tool course in Banjul, Gambia in 2013.
He is an Associate member institute of Charted mediator and conciliators (I.C.M.C).
Hon. Justice Bashir Alkali is happily married and blessed with children .
